Biometric Search Notice

Understand facial processing before submitting a photo.

Updated 31 October 2026 · Version 1.1

What leaves your device

Photo selection, zoom, and cropping happen locally. After your consent and final submission, a cropped JPEG, browser credit identifier, and request metadata are sent through Cloudflare to the search backend and FaceCheck.ID. Current requests return example results. An example response does not mean no photo was transmitted.

Consent belongs to the person pictured

Facial similarity processing may involve special-category biometric data under applicable law. People Finder requests separate explicit consent before submission. Only submit your own adult face or another adult’s photo with their explicit informed agreement. Your acceptance of Terms or ownership of a photo does not substitute for that person’s consent.

You may refuse processing and still read the site. Before submission, close the crop or cancel checkout to stop. After submission, contact us to withdraw consent; a request already completed cannot be undone. Consent choices are recorded locally in this browser.

What a result means

A score is a measure of resemblance, not a confirmed identity or a probability that two images show the same person. Differences in lighting, pose, age, and image quality can affect results. False matches, omissions, and uneven performance are possible. No-match results do not prove absence from the web.

Retention and transfers

The website forwards the photo without deliberately saving a server image file. Checkout temporarily stores the crop in the tab’s session storage; optional history keeps it locally until deleted. Provider retention is separate. FaceCheck.ID’s policy describes its processing and retention. Providers may process requests internationally. You can contact us about processing before submitting a photo.

Restrictions and rights

Adults only. No minors, surveillance, stranger identification, or consequential decisions. Read the Acceptable Use Policy. Access, erasure, correction, withdrawal, and complaint routes are explained in the Privacy Policy. Contact mpenapps@protonmail.com.

Scope of this notice

This notice explains the facial processing involved in the current service. It is not an identity-verification guarantee or a regulatory certification. The restrictions in the Acceptable Use Policy apply to every search. Your statutory data protection rights remain unaffected.
